INTRODUCTION

Friends, let’s start with Introduction of JAVA.
JAVA was developed by James Gosling and
Patrick Naughton at Sun Microsystems in 1991. It took almost 18 months to develop its first working version. The old / initial name of this language was “Oak”. And was renamed as “JAVA” in 1995. About 3 billion devices run JAVA.
Most of the characters and syntax is derived from C and C++. Hence the JAVA got lots of similarities of C++. But the JAVA is the simply “INTERNET VERSION OF C++”. Even it is same as C++, JAVA got lots of extra feature that make programming flexible. JAVA is Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). OOP is the technique that helps to organize complex programs by making use of Polymorphism, Inheritance and encapsulation.
JAVA is used to create two types of programs, which are as follows:
1)  APPLICATION
 2) APPLET
Above types will be discussed in later post, keep track of each post.
